South Korean-owned Shinheung Sec has completed a 25.5 million EUR battery parts plant in Monor, Hungary (near Budapest), with a government grant of 769 million HUF. The plant makes parts for batteries to be used in electric vehicles. The investment is expected to create 300 jobs by the end of 2019. The plant is the company's first in Europe with another five operating in Asia. Shinheung Sec plans to purchase 80 percent of its feedstock in Hungary by 2019.
