13/05/2015 SeoulMOFA Charity Bazaar
The Hungarian Embassy participated in the 27th Annual MOFA Charity Bazaar on May 12, 2015 at the Korea National Diplomatic Academy. The beneficiaries of this fundraising event were those registered in the „100-Won-a-Day” Charity committee. The committee was established in 1992 by the then Wives’ Association of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the goal of providing aid to the most underprivileged, such as disadvantaged children that act as the head of the household for their families, North Korean refugees, victims of natural disasters, and disabled, elderly people without proper care.
Diplomatic Missions were among the participants in the bazaar as were food and beverage producers in Korea. The Hungarian Embassy was selling with great success Pick Salami products, Hungarian wine and pálinka, homemade cookies (gingerbread hearts, linzer cakes, pogácsa) and Rubik’s cubes.
The proceeds from the sales were donated to the MOFA Charity Committee.
