Opening concert of the Korean Liszt Society

In the organization of the Korean Liszt Society 4 excellent pianists gave concert at Yamaha Hall on 6 February 2014. The concerthall was filled with audience, the list of invitees included several ambassadors too. The pianists performed pieces from Hungarian composer Liszt and other contemporary Korean classical composers. The concert was organized as one of the starting events to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Hungary-Korea diplomatic relations in 2014.

Ambassador spouses getting acquainted with Habsburg treasures

On 26 February 2014 spouses of ambassadors accredited to Seoul were offered a guided tour in joint organization by the Embassy of Hungary in Seoul and the National Palace Museum of Korea to visit the special exhibition “Magnificent Life of the Hungarian Aristocracy Under the Reign of the Habsburg Dynasty in the 17-19th Century”. The English language guided tour including a luncheon was attended by 39 spouses of ambassadors and the Ambassador of Austria herself. Before starting the tour, the director of the National Palace Museum and the spouse of the Hungarian ambassador welcomed the guests and talked briefly about the success of the exhibition, enhancing the significance of the 25th anniversary of the Hungary-Korea diplomatic relations.


The exhibition at the National Palace Museum of Korea will be open to the public from 3 December 2013 to 9 March 2014.
